Enfield Council will hold its Annual Council meeting on Wednesday 27 May at 7pm in the Council Chamber at the Civic Centre, Silver Street, EN1 3XA.

The annual meeting is the point in the calendar when the council formally appoints its mayor for the year ahead and confirms its leader and cabinet.

This year it carries added weight, following the 7 May election, which left no single party with a majority.

The Conservatives emerged as the largest group but fell short of overall control, meaning the shape of the next administration may depend on agreements reached between parties before councillors take their seats.
