Editorial Policy

Accuracy

We verify information before publishing. Where we rely on a single source, we say so. We correct errors promptly and transparently.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made by Pipeline News journalists and are not influenced by advertisers, sponsors, funders, or any political party. Commercial relationships are kept entirely separate from editorial content.

Sources

We name sources wherever possible. Anonymous sources are used only when there is a clear public interest reason and when we have independently verified the information provided.

Fairness

We give individuals and organisations the right to respond before publishing allegations or criticism that reflect on their character or conduct. We publish responses in full where they are relevant and proportionate.

Privacy

We respect individuals' privacy. We do not publish personal information that is not in the public interest. We follow the guidance of the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in handling personal data.

Complaints

If you believe we have made an error or breached this policy, contact us at [email protected]. We aim to respond within five working days. Serious complaints will be referred to our independent regulator, IMPRESS.

Regulation

Pipeline News is a member of IMPRESS, the independent press regulator. IMPRESS can be contacted at impress.press
